After running into Ton on the street, getting a hug from Nathan, having an awesome time at the screening, talking to Colin’s dad about Suburban Plight, and all that good stuff, we got to give Colin and the team an early demo of the game the next day. This six minute video is chopped from over half an hour of footage, so it does skip abruptly at times; sorry, but we didn’t want to give too much away! (Or bore you.)
Afterwards, we also spoke with Ton about licensing, how to involve the community in the project, and the like. It was a very productive trip!

Sintel… WHOOSH!
“Oooh!”
Like the film, I can’t wait for the game, now.
Good luck.

Awesome work guys, doing great! The team at the Blender Foundation looks impressed as well. Good Luck!
Nice work!!
Excellent work! Every thing look very good….
Awesome! I’m really looking forward to this!
I was wondering if you guys could update again. it’s just that it’s been a while and i’m kinda following your progress.
=P
great work, you are showing the potential of the bge on 2.5. Pure awesome
Looking good guys!
@d3m4 they are using 2.49, if you look at some of the images in the Gallery page. I have talked to some of the people working on the game, and they are using 2.49 because it is much more stable then 2.5, which it is! The other sintel game project is using 2.5, and everything is behaving like a bitch.
Hi guys thanks for the nice comments
@ d3m4
There’s a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks; I’ve been working on some new characters and weapons. James has been reworking our main level design to better fit the new game play mechanics we are implementing (all top secret at the moment I’m afraid. But take it from me its exciting stuff, and as far as I’m aware its never been seen in a blender game before).
And just in case you can’t wait that long, Jon has just completed a benchmark blend which should be up and running in the next day or two, so we’ll be looking forward to getting you involved very soon.
@ JaydenB
We are now using 2.5, though as a safety measure most of our files still work in 2.49. We were hesitant to move at first due to instabilities but after some tests we where confident we could use the latest versions and take advantage of its advances.
Excellent work!
Lol wow! this looks great. i couldnt stop laughing the whole time through. It looks amazing so far, i cant wait to see more!
